OPaL's Mid Mod Mews received strong endorsement from Montgomery County's Planning Board yesterday. During their discussions, the Board expressed high praise for the project and recommended it as a model for other developments in the county. They also commended the architectural design of the homes. Notably, the project garnered support from two Board members who typically do not favor new home projects, resulting in unanimous approval and commendation from all five members for OPaL.

Yesterday, an email was sent to neighbors containing details that need to be cleared up. At no point did the Board suggest that our stormwater design required modifications. They only said the plan will continue to be developed during the approval process. I encourage you to watch the entire hearing using the link provided above. During the hearing, the Board devoted considerable time to clarifying the distinction between stormwater management and storm drains. They also extensively explained that we are reducing the imperviousness of our site from 70% to 46%. However, it is not our responsibility to address drainage along MacArthur.
We are excited to proceed with the new homes at Mid Mod Mews.
